Wi-Fi Blues

(17-02-26)

It is currently February 2026 as I write this. 14 months ago, December 2024, was when my wi-fi started to, pardon the french, le fuck up. Every afternoon, provided it was sunny enough and warm enough, it would drop out. Anywhere from twenty seconds up to fifteen minutes, all at random lengths between the two, for random amounts per day. If it was very overcast or raining it almost never happened. During the winter, even if Mr. Sun was on duty, it wouldn't happen. But September rolled around and the drop outs returned. I still don't know what is causing it. It's not my ISP; I switched to a new one some months ago and the problem remained exactly the same. I'm down to two candidates - the router, or an external cable. I'm leaning towards the former personally, makes sense with it happening late enough into a sunny warm day. Some cable nearby must be getting overheated come high noon. I'm long past the point where I should have contacted my ISP just to start troubleshooting with them. Maybe they can grant access to the High Council of Internet Cablers who can grant me three wishes. Maybe they'll tell me to fuck myself. Either way, my net will drop out during the call. No Wi-Fi calling for me.

Anyway this serves as a test post. A canary in the coal mine. A Pizza Hut in the garage. I don't really know what this site is going to be shaped into. Diary? Art space? Link tree? Nirvanna the Band the Show fansite? I do not know.
